This course is designed for students who are enrolling in AP Physics 1 in the fall and looking to strengthen their understanding of the material, stay ahead of their classroom instruction, and build confidence in their problem-solving abilities. The course will follow the AP Physics 1 curriculum while providing additional explanation, guided practice, and exposure to AP-style questions that may not always be possible in a typical classroom setting.
The curriculum will place the strongest emphasis on the topics most commonly covered during the first semester, including kinematics, forces and dynamics, energy, and momentum, helping students develop a strong foundation. The course will also introduce important second-semester topics such as rotational motion, torque, simple harmonic motion, and fluids, allowing students to gain early familiarity with concepts they will encounter later in the year. This approach helps students connect ideas across the full AP Physics 1 curriculum while building long-term readiness for the AP exam.
We will focus on:
Conceptual understanding of core physics principles
Building strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Exposure to AP-style multiple-choice and free-response questions
Developing confidence and readiness for the school year ahead
Making connections between first- and second-semester topics for long-term success in AP Physics 1
Schedule:
Sep 5 - Dec 5 (Saturday Classes) OR Sep 6 - Dec 6 (Sunday Classes)
12 classes, 2 hour sessions.
No classes on Nov 21, 22nd and Nov 28, 29th (Thanksgiving weekends)
Session timing will be finalized based on participant preference

This course is taught by Coach Ram, an IIT graduate based in Texas with over 15 years of experience teaching Math and Physics. He has guided valedictorians now at top colleges including Stanford, Harvard, Rice, Duke, and the UT Austin Turing Scholars program, with many past students achieving perfect scores on AP exams. He will be joined by Shri, a recent student who earned a perfect 5 on the AP Physics 1 exam, bringing peer-level insights. Sessions focus on problem-solving strategies, strong foundations, and building confidence for success.
